Why pharmaceuticals fail us and how true health reclamation comes from within.

Why does modern medicine namely pharmaceuticals fail in making chronic illnesses better?

Firstly we have to understand the reasons we got sick. When we take a look at how we have evolved over time we can see that we have been primed as a commodity. We go through an education system that grooms us for the industry as Dr. Kelly Brogan explains

“We are ultrasounded in the womb regularly, birthed surgically, formula-fed, vaccinated, left by mothers who have a 3-week maternity leave, schooled into a state of near-irreversible brain-washing while being microwaved by 5g networks.
As adults, we work jobs that mean nothing and take everything and engage in relationships that could never possibly heal all of the unexamined wounds we bring to them, all while swimming in a bath of chemicals.
The true scope of our wandering from the path of right living is obscured by multi-billion- dollar industries that are invested in meeting our primary needs with superficial satisfactions.”

Thyroid healing

Today I wanted to share with you some news that I have been keeping quiet for a little while. As you all know I have been struggling with hypothyroidism for almost 10 years now and this past year I have really had to dig deep to allow my body to heal. It’s been a struggle at times having to look within on an emotional, mental, and physical level and lean into the uncomfortable.

Like many of you when I was diagnosed, I was told I would be on medication for life and that It was just something I had to learn to live with. I initially believed this without question and very quickly took on the new label of the sick person with the belief that my body was failing me and subsequently I blamed everything on my thyroid, meanwhile continuing to push my body to keep up with life. I spent years trying to manage my condition whilst searching for that someone who had healed their condition. I wanted to find someone who had been sick like me or who had struggled for many years just like I...

Self Expression

The throat area, including the thyroid, is the centre of expression and creativity, for the thyroid to remain balanced and healthy, you must allow yourself permission to live your life the way that you want. If there is limited expression of your soul’s desires or a disconnect from your life’s purpose, the thyroid functions become compromised. You may feel restricted and as though you never get to do what you want to do.

Perhaps you are constantly trying to please others by carrying their burdens and worries. You may feel an inability to speak out, feel repressed, humiliated, or experience emotional instability. You may constantly be playing a game of guilt and punishment. Sabotaging yourself. A feeling of I never get to do what I want to do. When is it going to be my turn? This causes you to feel hopeless and give up on expressing what you want.
'You need to honour what your heart is telling you to do and follow your dreams by taking steps, however small, to make them a...

Feeling Overwhelmed?

I even to this day still go through phases of overwhelm particularly when I am not only juggling a lot physically but even more so when I am consuming a lot mentally and emotionally. When I become overwhelmed I become fatigued and I begin to get air hunger. I consume so much mental energy replaying stories in my head or planning and preparing for future events that no matter how well I eat or how early I go to bed the overwhelm continues.

As someone who is empathic, I naturally absorb other's energies, and although I am getting better at observing and not absorbing, sometimes in a state of overwhelm I become less conscious of what I am letting in and so the cycle begins.

We live in a world today that really we are not equipped or even designed to be living in. Of course, evolution is part of the cycle of life but the demands and pressures we are all faced with today, place a huge and unnecessary burden on our mental and physical health and what we are seeing now is an influx in...

You can heal

belief healing health Sep 03, 2020

I need to tell you something that contrary to popular belief and regardless of who told you. You, my friend, can heal from your chronic illness or autoimmune disease.
If I had continued to listen to what I had been told 10 years ago I would have indeed succeeded in a self-fulfilling prophecy. You see I was sick but what I didn’t realise back then was that I could heal from my illness, yes really! Instead, I spent almost 10 years talking and giving power to my ill health and continually going round in circles trying to get better. Until one day it all just clicked and I realised I had been doing it all wrong this whole time.

You can heal but first, you have to stop seeing yourself as a sick person and stop talking as a sick person. Stop getting fixated on lab results and start getting fixated on healing. The answers are all around you. You have to start thinking for yourself and listening to your intuition. You have to get tough and start removing everything in your life that no...

Re-connection to self is what brings re-connection to health.

Re-connecting with ourselves is not something we should do but more something we must do in order to restore health in both the mind and body. The medical model that we have today is based on “reductionism” where all our issues can be explained A to B, cause, and effect, and based upon dualism, that the mind and body are split and separate. All illness, however, in reality, is multidimensional and connected and we must view it as such, taking account of what we are putting into our bodies (food, medications, toxins, etc.) genetics/epigenetics, society, our thoughts, behaviours, personality/sensitivity etc all impact and play a role in our health.

Our voices are what we use to communicate and, to express ourselves yet we are suppressing them. They offer us the pathway to our true selves. When we were young we used our voices to vocalize our true, raw, and unadulterated feelings, wants, and needs. There was no filter when we spoke but as we grew we began to internalize our...
